Vetiver sounds better than ever on their latest, Up on High. The mood is autumnal, warm, and familiar; there’s an air of coming home on this cozy, comfortable collection of songs. Longtime fans will find much to love here and new listeners should be easily charmed by Vetiver’s ability to create musical passages that connect with both the mind and the heart. With a homespun atmosphere, earnest vocals, and tightly-crafted songwriting, this is folk rock at its finest and most balanced.
