The songwriting is crisp and clean while the melodies draw on folk, psychedelia, and global influences. It’s the type of album that refuses to just fade into the background; more than once, you’ll catch yourself getting lost in Malkmus’s clever lyrics and dreamy, dazzling instrumentation. Hats off to the legendary Mr. Malkmus for once again creating an all-killer-no-filler album that comes seemingly out of left-field and becomes a true home run.
