Side Effects (LP)
White Denim
Amoeba Review

If the title is any indication, Side Effects is the hallucinatory companion piece to Performance, White Denim's wild, zany kegger of an album released not more than half a year ago. Rather than consisting of more backwards blues riffs played at speed-addled tempos, Side Effects opts to discover some way-out places, utilizing all sorts of bells, synths, and sound effects along the way. Shades of '70s Zappa are all over this one, adding another fascinating wrinkle to the group’s already eclectic, record collector sound.
