Hotspot (LP)
Pet Shop Boys
Amoeba Review
Since 1986’s Please, the Pet Shop Boys have been cranking out high-charting albums full of quality, danceable electro-pop with the regularity of a two-man hit factory. Hotspot, the duo’s 14th studio album, deviates little from the successful formula. Mostly written and recorded in Berlin and Los Angeles, Hotspot is the third consecutive collaboration in a series of albums with producer/engineer Stuart Price, a run that has kept them relevant on the dance floors and airwaves at a time in their career when most acts have already retired.
