Deap Lips (LP)
Deap Lips
Amoeba Review
Its the Flaming Lips/Deap Vally collaboration album you’ve always dreamed of! (If you’re a fan of the wild, the weird, and the wonderful, that is.) Together, the two bands fuse psychedelic vibes and raucous riffs with spaced out abandon. It’s a journey into the most experimental, blissed out reaches of the indieverse that’s as fun to listen to as you can imagine Wayne Coyne, Steven Drozd, Lindsey Troy, and Julie Edwards had making it. Musical surprises like this don’t come along every day; it’s great to see Deap Lips just going for the gold on this intriguing little slice of weirdo electro-pop.
