Cry (LP)
Cigarettes After Sex
Amoeba Review

Cigarettes After Sex adds a dulcet sheen to the dolor of their latest album, Cry. Downbeat and dreamy, Cry is rife with yearning and nostalgia yet seems to float above those grayer sentiments thanks to transcendent melodies and blissed-out atmospherics. The band once again proves that they’re masters of setting a mood; the cinematic tracks interweave here effortlessly, leaving the listener in a sort of pensively pleasant trance. Slow, seductive, and utterly spellbinding.
